Strawberry cookies

Serves: 15  

Ingredients: 

  • 50g light brown sugar   
  • 120g unsalted butter, melted  
  • 1 medium egg 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 9g Nesquik Strawberry Milkshake Powder 
  • 120g whole wheat flour 
  • ½ tsp baking powder 

You will also need:

  • A baking tray lined with parchment paper 

Method: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C, (160°C for fan ovens) Gas Mark 4. 
  2. Add the brown sugar and butter to a large mixing bowl and using a wooden spoon or an electric whisk, mix until completely combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix again. 
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the bowl and mix until you have a smooth dough.
  4. Shape the dough into equal sized balls, approximately the size of a walnut. Place on the baking sheet leaving enough distance between the balls for them to spread slightly, then flatted slightly with the back of a spoon. 
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden then remove from the oven. Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the tray then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely. 
  6. Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
